Crowfield Plantation
Crowfield Plantation is a relatively large planned unit development in Goose Creek, SC, with a full time Home Owners Association. Started in the early 1980's by Westvaco Development Company, it now features 24 separate and distinct neighborhoods. Amenities include 75 acre Crowfield Lake, miles of walking/biking trails, a 13 acre park with ball field, play grounds and tennis courts, and three pools with club houses. Also located in Crowfield Plantation is an 18-hole public golf course, Crowfield Golf Course that is now maintained by the City of Goose Creek. It borders the lake, and includes the old plantation ruins into its design. The golf course features a pro-shop and separate Club House with pool and tennis courts with special rates available for residents.
Situated on a historic 2850 acre tract of land, it is just minutes from great shopping, dining, and other recreations. Shopping choices in Goose Creek includes Wal-Mart, Lowe´s and several grocery stores including Publix, Bi-Lo, and Food Lion. You are also just minutes away from Northwoods Malls, and other shopping in North Charleston. Residents also enjoy easy access to I-26, which makes this a great community for residents working in Charleston.
Crowfield is comprised of mostly single family houses, but there are some town homes and condominiums. The single family homes start around $140,000 and going up to almost $800,000. Some homes have lake views and/or golf course views.
